About the exam
The PSPO I Assessment is an online assessment. The assessment covers topics from multiple Focus Areas as defined by the Professional Scrum Competencies. The specific Focus Areas from which questions may be selected during the assessment are listed on the Suggested Reading page. The assessment is exhaustive and rigorous. Many questions ask you to think about or interpret the meaning from the Scrum Guide, apply content from the Product Owner Learning Path, and apply your own experience.
The format is:
- 80 questions that feature multiple-choice and multiple-answer questions as well as True/False questions
- Duration: 1 hour
- Pass mark: 85%
The PSPO has a lifetime validity and does not require renewal.

Prerequisites
There is no set of eligibility requirements to attend the PSPO™ Level I training.
Basic knowledge of Scrum in a real-world context is helpful, though not mandatory. The one-day Agile and Scrum Foundation training serves as a good primer.
